Session 3: Science and History

Design a scientific enquiry to investigate factors affecting grip on a slope. The design a historical enquiry to investigate why the Great Fire of London spread so quickly.

The aim of your session is to help your student to compare carrying out an investigation in two different disciplines – science and history. It’s also an opportunity to talk about working safely – in each case. When we are researching for history, it is important to check websites for suitability and trustworthiness. In science we only investigate where we can do so safely.
